Air Vice Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque, BSP, ndu, afwc, psc, GD(P) was born in Mymensingh district of Bangladesh in 1964. He was commissioned in 1985 in General Duties (Pilot) branch. The officer has been promoted in the present rank on 20 September 2018. He has attended a good number of professional courses both at home and abroad including Defence Services Command and Staff Course from Mirpur, Defence Services Staff Course from Wellington, India and Armed Forces War Course from National Defence College Mirpur. He has also attained Master of Science in Defence and Strategic Studies from University of Madras, India, Master of Science in Strategic Studies from National Defence University, China. Master of War Studies from National University, Bangladesh and Master of Business Administration from IBA, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Air Vice Marshal Fazlul Haque served in various command, instructional and staff appointments in different capacities. He has served as Directing Staff both at Staff College and Armed Forces War Course at National Defence College Mirpur. He has also served as Director General Training at Armed Forces Division, Prime Minister’s office. He participated in three UN peacekeeping missions in UNIKOM, Kuwait, East Timor and as contingent commander in MONUSCO, DR Congo.
He has visited many countries around the world including Australia, DR Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Germany, UK, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Lebanon, Cyprus, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and countries of South Asia. Air Vice Marshal Fazlul Haque has been appointed as the founding Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University on 26 May 2019.
